  1. Do not apply hair styling products. Your hair will be sprayed with alcohol.

How Often Should I Get The Treatment?

The masseter muscle is a facial muscle that connects our lower jaw to our cheeks. It is one of the several muscles responsible for chewing. When this muscle becomes enlarged for a variety of reasons, usually in patients who grind or clench their teeth, it can dramatically change the shape of your lower face.

Botox in the jaw (masseter) is typically used for:

  5. We encourage you to arrive 30 minutes before your procedure time for the numbing part.

One of our staff will usher you into a room and cleanse your face with a gentle cleanser. Afterwards, she will apply your skin with a topical numbing agent. This will help reduce any discomfort you might feel during microneedling. During this time, they will prepare to take a sample of your blood for the PRP. They will place your blood in a centrifuge to separate the blood. Your Platelet Rich Plasma will be placed in small syringes for use during the procedure. This will take about 30 to 40 minutes. Afterwards, the numbing cream will be wiped off using alcohol to reduce the risk of infection.

Solei Clinic utilizes an FDA approved SKin Pen Microneedling device for the procedure. The microneedling device is moved over the surface of your skin in several directions. The depth of the needles can be adjusted during treatment, so they penetrate more
deeply into thicker areas of the skin and are gentler on the thinner parts. As the microneedling device is moved over the surface of the skin, the PRP will be applied during and after the procedure.

After the procedure, allow the PRP to dry on your skin without washing it off or applying anything on top of it for at least 4 to 6 hours. It is much better if you leave the PRP overnight.

For optimal results, strenuous activity should be avoided for the first 48 hours post treatment to avoid high spikes in blood pressure or heart rate. Specific medications to avoid are Ibuprofen, Naproxen and Aspirin.

Your results will become noticeable within six to eight weeks post-treatment. You will notice improved healing, reduced redness and general improvement in your skin's tone, texture and health. There should be continuous improvement in your skin's appearance over the next 3 to 4 months. It is recommended to have at least 2 to 3 sessions spaced 2 to 3 months apart for optimal results.

Aftercare Tips

  1. If you have bruising at the injection site, it may help to apply aloe vera, vitamin K, or arnica creams.
